James Cameron announced during the film’s San Diego Comic-Con 2019 Hall H Panel that Edward Furlong will reprise the role of John Connor in “Terminator: Dark Fate”.
Edward Furlong who had played John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgement Day, would be returning to the franchise 28 years after Judgement Day (1991) in the upcoming Terminator sequel Dark Fate. Linda Hamilton will also be returning to play Sarah Connor in the sequel. Jude Collie had been cast as a young John Connor, serving as a body double with CGI used to recreate Furlong’s facial likeness in flashback scenes.
The teaser shows a new kind of Terminator/human hybrid played by Gabriel Luna is chasing Dani played by Natalie Reyes and Grace, a new Terminator sent to protect Dani, played by Mackenzie Davis. The girls soon find themselves getting a helping hand from the one and only Sarah Connor played by Linda Hamilton.
Cast members of ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ includes Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor, Arnold Schwarzenegger as T-800, Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, Diego Boneta, and Edward Furlong. Director of the film is Tim Miller and is written by David Goyer, Justin Rhodes and Billy Ray. Miller also confirmed the film will be R-rated. The new film ignore the events of Rise of the Machines, Salvation, and Genisys.
‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ will release on November 1, 2019.
