‘John Wick’ Writer Derek Kolstad to write for Marvel’s ‘Falcon & Winter Soldier’ series.

‘John Wick’ Writer Derek Kolstad is hired to help write the upcoming Disney+ original series ‘Falcon & Winter Soldier’ which will be directed by Kari Skogland, whose previous work includes The Handmaid’s Tale and Marvel and Netflix’s Punisher. Derek Kolstad will be accompanied by Malcolm Spellman to write screenplay for for the six-episode miniseries.


Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will be reprising their roles from the silver screen as Falcon (Sam Wilson) and Winter Soldier (Bucky Barnes) respectively in upcoming ‘Falcon & Winter Soldier’ tv series. The story will continue from Avengers: Endgame where Chris Evans’ Captain America pass on the mantle and shield to Falcon. 

The mini-series will also star Captain America: Civil War stars Daniel Bruhl as Helmut Zemo and Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter. It will be six-part series .

"These will be major storylines, set within the MCU, with ramifications that will be felt both through the other Disney+ series we’re producing and our features on the big screen. A post-‘Endgame’ MCU will be extremely different and extremely focused on Disney+ tying into our future movies”,
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said in April.
Earlier, Disney announced that it’s Disney+ streaming service will launch in November this year. Other mini series based on MCU were announced like Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston and WandaVision, starring Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlett Witch and Paul Bettany as Vision.
Official release date of ‘Falcon and Winter Soldier’ has not been confirmed yet.
