Mark Wahlberg will star in the true-life dog adventure movie “Arthur the King”.

Mark Wahlberg will portray Lindnord, a Swedish adventure racer in ‘Arthur the King’, which is Based on the 2017 book “Arthur: The Dog who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Home,” written by Mikael Lindnord.

Arthur: The Dog who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Home

The story will focus on unlikely relationship between Lindnord, who was competing in an epic endurance race in Ecuador and a badly wounded stray dog when offered a meatball, followed the team for the remainder of the epic, 400-mile race. Later, he adopted the dog and brought him back to Sweden. The tale of their friendship won the hearts of millions worldwide.
The script of the movie has been written by Michael Brandt, better known for his works in “3:10 to Yuma” and “Wanted.” Mark Canton, Tucker Tooley, Courtney Solomon and Tessa Tooley are producing the film with executive producers Dorothy Canton, Brandt and Lindnord.
The director for the movie is yet to announce.
