Original cast members from the 1993 classic “Jurassic Park”, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum will be returning for Jurassic World 3.
Neill, Dern and Goldblum are set to reprise their iconic roles in third installment of Jurassic World franchise as Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Dr. Ian Malcolm respectively, characters from the 1993 original “Jurassic Park.” While Dern and Neill were last seen with the dinosaurs in 2001’s “Jurassic Park III”, Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm re-appeared in 2018’s “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.”
The castings of Dern, Goldblum and Neill were announced Tuesday night at a special Arclight Hollywood screening of “Jurassic World” short film entitled “Battle at Big Rock” when Trevorrow brought out Dern during the Q&A portion. Also, the Jurassic World Twitter account tweeted with a picture of trio from their previous Jurassic film on Tuesday night: “They’re back. Welcome to Jurassic World Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler & Ian Malcom. #2021.”
The trio will join the cast of Jurassic World, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard for the upcoming Jurassic World 3. Chris Pratt will reprise his role as dinosaur handler Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard as dinosaur rights activist Claire Dearing.

Colin Trevorrow will be directing again and will co-write the script with Emily Carmichael. Trevorrow previously directed the 2015’s ‘Jurassic World’, which went on to gross $1.67 billion worldwide and is the sixth-highest-grossing film in cinema history.
Jurassic World 3, is set to begin production early next year and will released in June 2021.
