Zoe Kravitz has been confirmed to play Selina Kyle aka Catwoman opposite Robert Pattinson who’ll play the titular hero in the upcoming Matt Reeves directed, ‘The Batman’.
The Catwoman , who is one of Batman’s classic foes and long-time love interests has been previously portrayed by Anne Hathaway in 2012's The Dark Knight Rises, Halle Berry in 2004's Catwoman, and Michelle Pfeiffer in 1992's Batman Returns. Also, Kravitz had voiced a version of the character in 2017's animated film, "The LEGO Batman Movie."
The Big Little Lies actress is said to have won the role off stiff competition from the likes of Ana de Armas, Ella Balinska and Eiza Gonzalez.
Not much information about the movie casting has been released, but as far as we know it, Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) is on board to play Commissioner Gordon and Jonah Hill is reportedly in talks to play a yet-unnamed villain.
The film is set to begin shooting in January with a June 25, 2021 release date.
